Voltammetric determination of thallium(I) on a prussian blue/cinder paste electrode

چکیده

The effective utili zation of industri all y waste cinder for electroanaly tical applicati ons by trapping the hexacyanometa llate (HCF) units from Fe~+, Ni+. Co~+. etc into the interlayer ga lleries of cinder has been reported. Prussian blue (PB) is an Fe( III )HCF wi th mixed va lence and zeolite type properties. In the present investigati on, the interca lation property of TI+ wi th PB/ci nder paste electrode (des ignated as PBCPE) has been utili zed for the analy tica l purpose. Basic cyc lic vo ltammetric experiments with TI+ in 0. 1 M KNO) results in a continuous insertion of TI+ ions inside the PB ga llery w ith the ejection of K+ ions. The insertion rate of TI+ ions in the PBCPE was much faster as compared to that in trad itional PBmodified electrodes. T he PBCPE has also been uti l ized for sensiti ve determination ofTI+ ions in rea l samples.
